A strong start in a time of change
Joining Symetri in Denmark in 2010, Per took on the role of Business Owner for the BlueCielo Meridian Software – now known as Accruent. Right from the beginning, he was responsible for both sales and implementation, driving the business forward with a clear vision and relentless commitment.
His path to Symetri came via acquisition, as the company he previously worked for became part of Cad-Q (later Symetri). When BlueCielo decided to relaunch the business area, it opened the door to what would become a defining chapter in his professional life.
Reflecting on those early days, he recalls, “Back then, it was a more chaotic time. That said, it can be fun to work in chaos – as long as you have influence.” It’s clear that this spirit of ownership, responsibility, and belief helped shape his career.
A front-row seat to transformation
Throughout his time at Symetri, he witnessed significant evolution. What was once a small organization has grown into a sophisticated, international corporate group that continues to expand – both with new employees and into new business areas. Yet despite this growth, he notes,
“I still feel like I can just pick up the phone and call Jens Kollserud. There’s a strong willingness to listen to what people have to say in Symetri.”
Among the many professional highlights, one stands out: helping pharmaceutical clients evolve from using Meridian as a basic file management system to implementing fully FDA-validated document management systems. This work, he shares, was both exciting and challenging — and incredibly rewarding.
At Symetri, we see every day as a new opportunity to make a difference. You’ll be challenged to impact and grow yourself, your teammates and our customers.

A culture of collaboration
“There’s great collaboration and a positive atmosphere in Symetri, combined with a high level of professionalism,” Per reflects. “Clients, colleagues, and the work itself – it’s all been meaningful. But the client relationships, especially, have been central to everything I’ve done.”
A look toward the future
While stepping into retirement, his thoughts are still very much on the future of the industry. He sees exciting potential in AI and highlights how Symetri is already investing in this ongoing digital revolution. 'We need to build capacity and dive even deeper into it,' he says. 'Symetri is a strong partner in digitalisation and sustainability.'
Words of wisdom
As he moves on to this next chapter, he leaves behind some timeless advice for those just starting out at Symetri: “Believe in the job, believe in yourself and your own abilities. And remember to take initiative.”
What’s next? Retirement promises freedom, creativity, and music. “I’m looking forward to having more time to play music – and the freedom to do whatever I want.”
